Crib Redo

I am so happy to announce that I have successfully moved from apartment living to a cottage in the woods. I have moved back to the forested town in which I was born and raised. I think I will always be a mountain girl.

I finally got a crib for my baby girl. Unfortunately I'm having separation anxiety not having her right next to me in bed. I think she is handling it better than I am. Anyway my neighbors had an extra crib they didn't need anymore so I took it off their hands. But this crib was an UGLY brown color. It was my moral duty to fix it up.

This is the tragic before...
and here is the after... ah, much better

It took me five cans a spray paint for this one. I didn't occur to me at the time that spray paint isn't a good idea for furniture with a lot of open space. Yeah next time I think I'll use a canister of paint. But I am happy with the results. You've heard it before, but I'll say it again: It is amazing what a coat of paint can do!

  1. that turned out fantastic. I totally have given up on spray paint after 3 cans on a shelf and just pulled out the brush before I'd love it if you would add this to my link party at http://raegunwear.blogspot.com/2011/11/what-i-wore-wednesdays-1.html
